Home of the Versatile Kiko

Working * Homesteading * Milking * Meat

Rugged Range Goat Ranch was originally established in 1983 in Northern Utah as Locks of Luck Angoras. At that time we also raised dairy goats, meat goats and working goats.  In 1992 we started renting packing goats to hunters and hikers. In 1994 we moved to Southeastern Idaho and as our six children became more involved in rodeo, sports, 4-H, and family activities we sold our Angoras, Packgoat string and a few of our dairy goats. Life was busy, but we always had a doe or two around for family use.  Our children are all grown and Ron and I have revived our goat ranch with the most versatile, hardy, goat breed we have come to love know as the New Zealand Kiko goat. The Kikos are the base breed of most of our herd and they have provided us with some very nice goats. We are so excited to continue our goat ranching journey with our children, grandchildren and the many new friends we meet and work with throughout our goat ranching experience.

To raise high quality registered and commercial  breeding stock and working/pack goats with sound uniform confirmation, strong bone, straight long legs, balanced thick muscle, good temperament, hardy, disease and parasite resistance, with minimal maintenance. Also to humanely providing healthier red meat to consumers through our natural organic feeding and management practices.
